Because Hull finished fourth with him in the squad.
He's trying to be clever. It's not worked that well.

The interesting thing about that Arsenal 'on loan' video he made with Isaac Hayden is that since playing together at Hull Hayden then left Arsenal for Newcastle on a 5-year deal and has played in nearly every match for them this season.

They also refer to Serge (Gnabri) not getting much of a chance at Arsenal - now he's left and signed for Werder Bremen, scoring goals for them in the Bundesliga and for Germany too.

His peers have left to do good things. In theory now is the time for Akpom to make an impression - this could work for us IF he has the right attitude.

I'm guessing this won't be announced today then.

There's still time... it's only 8pm. Around this time of the window, I don't "stand down" (stop refreshing!) until around 10-10:30pm...lol

apart from seeing Akpom shortly when Brighton played at Hull. I previously saw him play for England u19 scoring 2 I think in the 3.1 win over Demnark at Doncaster's Keepmoat stadium. He looked very good that night. John Stones, and John Lumsden are the only other names I remember playing that night. cant find line up from game now feb 5th 2013
