Poundland in North Street, go straight in, up the stairs at the back, take a right then immediate left and you're there
Also had Santas and some Moon thing...not sure what that was!

splendid, I shall have one ciggie lighter powered santa and one 'some moon thing'

I'm a traditionalist.

Christmas decorations go up after sunset on Christmas Eve.

They come down after sunset on Twelfth Night.

Christmas trees should be bought on 24 December.

Advent is the season that PRECEDES Christmas. It is not part of the Christmas season.

Ours usually goes up the last saturday before Christmas, so this year that'll be 18th. Far too early to be putting them now - besides which, if you do, all the nedles will be in your carpet by 25th not on the tree !

Mine's up already, but that's ok, because it is VERY tasteful I assure you. Not a piece of tinsel in sight :lolol:

It's not Chav-like to have your tree up at this point, what is Chav like is to have giant flashing Santas and inflatable reindeer on the roof, and a display of coloured lights on the front of the house which would rival Las Vegas on a world title fight night.

However, it is the season of goodwill, and driving past such places never fails to make me smile, so on this one occasion each year, good luck to the Chavs, I say. Especially those who raise money for charidee by making their houses even more tacky than normal.

is it me or are people now generally putting their deccies up earlier and earlier? I thought it was an unwritten rule that you didn't put them up until at least the second weekend in December. At the moment, I feel like the only bloody seventh day adventist on my estate because the lights on my house can't be spotted by satellite.

That's what comes of living on a chav estate I suppose.
