In the light of all the issues currently facing households around the country, how are you planning to celebrate Christmas in comparison to previous years?

???
Edit, mods please edit title, should be 2022

With a family death each year over the last few years, including earlier this month, our Christmases are getting smaller and quieter these days. Anticipating the possibility of another next year too. Which answers the OPs original question I guess.

Young Granddaughter is with her father this xmas (parents split), so my wife says no need for massive outside light display. Simply indoor tree. Other than that usual Xmas day spread for 6 adults.

No idea.

If I have any Pension Pot left I'll have done a drawdown next summer so it should be better than my Dickension Christmas 2022.

I too will be indulging in bird roasting but may downgrade from the 5 bird roast we had last year to a more suitable 3 bird roast.

Quiet one this year. Eldest son is with his G/F, youngest son is in Cape Town until Dec 24th, so we will pop out to see the grandparents about mid morning on the 25th before getting back home and settling in by the TV for the rest of the day. Probably wont even bother with a big dinner this year either tbh.

Go to Minnesota to visit family, attempt to make a snowman with the younger family members, get frustrated and kick the bastard down when mine looks awful, get drunk, eat, act delighted with the pack of socks I get, fly home. Repeat with the other side of the family back in NC.
