Chris Wood back on our radar?

No they didn't. Our crowd are no different to most others - fickle.

As for Wood, I agree with you - if I was him, I'd engineer a move to Millwall all the while Kenny Jacket is running things. He's at a club best suited to showcasing his ability. That James Henry (#14) is an excellent crosser of the ball and gives him the service he thrives on. If I was a player like Wood, I'd look at Albion and the fact that we already have 4 strikers of similar standard and see that we can't get the best out of any of them.

If you would have sat in the south stand at withers singing bit by us, the stuff wood got was rediculous.....a bit like the stuff CMs is getting now.

CMS has been dealt a very generous hand - most recognise he is a decent bloke, and appreciate that he doesnn't take the support for granted. But he is on £17k a week and is a senior player and I can't be relied on to finish his dinner. To suggest he's being harshly treated is absurd.

It appears the press are quoting WBA as wanting £1.5m for Wood, although they also reckon Villa are going to bid £2m for Murray....

Clubs normally over value in statements, but I'd have to say I'd think Wood would be a good investment at anything between £1 - £1.5m.

It doesn't matter how little WBA want for Wood; he will cost whatever the highest bidder is prepared to pay. Understandably there will be more than one club interested, and probably one prepared to pay up to 2M.

He'll also have a say in his destination given its the club that is trying to sell him and breaking their contract. It's not always been the case that the highest bidder wins if the player refuses to go there.

I would like to see Woods and CMS together I think they would be a great partnership. I rather pay 1.5 million for 21 year old than 1 million for 29 year old

WBA would be daft to sell him. They should sell Fortune instead according to a WBA mate of mine, as he is gash.

Still, Wood for 1.5m would be good business for the buying club.

Judging by his reaction to scoring and the comments attributed to him on here would he chose us over Milwall, I dont think so, unless the money offered was a lot more.

I think people are reading far too much into things that are simply guesswork. Since when do players not celebrate goals just because they think they might sign for somebody, utter tosh.

WBA are not exactly inundated with goalscorers. I expect them to resist all offers. If he goes anywhere it will most likely be to Millwall. If his agent has got any sense he will negotiate a contract allowing bigger clubs to purchase for a fee above a certain amount.

Pity, because I think he is a better bet at £1.5 million than Charlie Austin at £2.2 million.

I bet Gus has already spent his allocated season ticket money. We still might have to find some money to sign Hammond next season, whom we can't do without.

For your next joke?

Is he a better bet than Murray at a reported £1m? I dont think so.

Another player whose name some on here seem incapable of spelling properly - he'll fit in nicely if we do get him.
