If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.
How the Hell is the lad supposed to feel when the crowd slag him off for half a season, then they finally see what he is capable of, so want him to stay.

Maybe one day people will learn to give their support to ALL the players wearing the stripes.

Very much a thumbs up.

Saw COG play at Watford ( 4th October ) and said to friends at the time that I thought he had something and could do a job for us. Sadly, the Nordic Nightmare thought differently.
Ever since then, I have read bile and abuse on here about COG ( and the other strikers ) from fans who should know better. The previous manager was clueless, inept and totally unsuited to the role. We now have someone who actually knows what they are doing and can encourage and motivate. COG was immense last night and gave us a different dimension. If Best plays half as well as that in any game for us, then I shall be impressed.
Must keep COG.

Hope he stays, starting to shine under a manager who knows what he is doing. He is head and shoulders above CMS, no comparison so if we need to offload a striker it should be him. COG put a proper shift in last night, caused all manner of problems for their centre backs. Strong, and a great first touch (unlike CMS). Seems like a good honest fella too.

Yes i must say he was superb in the hold up position shielding and laying off, if not for tex's magnificent display would easily have been MoM for me, but, in all honesty, a brilliant team performance, our best display this season some of our passing was as good as when Gus was here. Well done to CH for turning our season around. i'm a very happy seagull tonight.

This .... We as a club and possibly the fans have done COG a dis-service. I admit to being very unsure about his fitness, but last nights game he proved himself to me and lets hope to the managment... lets hope its not to late. I think he appreciated the fans support and that why he clapped when he went off. He needs a good game against the Arse and if he does the same job occupying their defence ....who knows he could even stick one or two in.

his body language and actions (clapping the fans in all directions) certainly gave me the impression that it was a good-bye from O'Grady.

Yes that is how a lot of people around us thought.

Yes he played very well last night, but I wonder how much of this improvement is because he is settled on leaving to go back home and there is no pressure on him?

We would pay loads of money to get a player as good as he was last night - don't sell him start hkm. Goals will come from him very soon too. Would be mad to sell him

I wasn't there (clearly) but could it not have just been appreciation of the ovation the fans gave him?

His hold up play with back too goal was quality last night, linked the play and held the ball up to give defenders chance to regroup. His confidence has obviously been restored.

If COG is concerned about his bad start and being slagged off by fans, best advice would be to sit down and have a chat with Guy Butters to get an idea how things can turnaround!

Hyypia's team/style was crying out for a man to hold the ball up and he was right under his nose.
Cracking performance from O'Grady, so nice to see the ball stick up top whether it was head height or to his feet.
