Childhood Toy you always wanted but never got?

can't remember what it was called, but I always wanted this game which had 2 robots in a boxing ring.

One was red the other blue, and there were levers and things you could pull to make your robot punch, swerve etc.

every year, went staringht to the back section of mum's freemans catalogue where all the toys were, always asked for it, and never got it

sigh!

i also remember a thing called 'marble run'. alls these plastic pipes you could put togther to create a marble run! great fun! shame i never got one!:(

I got sca;extric, but with my Dad and his mate round for xmas I didnt get a look in !!!

I always wanted a mongoose BMX, I ended up buying a feinds old one and doing it up myself . . . . tought me a thing or two, like you donr need an expensive bike to beat the other kids on expensive bikes :clap2:

Did anyone else ever want an electric piano and get one of those really shit small ones in your stocking instead...ou know, about 4 inches long,brought off the market with a little book on how to play them...now that I think about it they were pretty cool..woner where mine is.

I always wanted a trian set, but the usual arguements ensued which ended up with the statement " It would work for 10 minutes and then you will break it"

I think mum was proabbly right though!!!


Anyone else have the matchbox...sleek streak racing system where you put matchbox cars on this yellow track and it had a loop in it.....endless minutes of fun:glare:

I had one of those orange race tracks that you cuold asemble however you liked and then whiz your cars down it. We used to set it up to go down the stairs and round the lounge..great days
