"I think its fair to say that in recent seasons we were the first club to be taken to the brink of disaster by "poor ownership".. "

Top effort by East London Seagull on there but those cheating twats clearly haven't changed a bit since the days they were singing stuff about being the "real champions" as a direct result of Luke "Two Contracts" Beckett etc etc.

I'd happy let them rot in their own bitter obscurity - they're a revolting little club in a revolting little town with a revolting little set of thugs supporting them. f*** 'em.

Last March I put something on ebay to advertise the postcards to MP's campaign and I had an email from a Chesterfield fan along the same lines are what he has said.

I hope never to play Chesterfield again, unless they draw us in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup.

Interesting that they seem to think we wanted them to go out of business, which is patently un-true. Our only gripe was with regard to the cheating, and they shouldn't have got promoted as a result of it.

I do feel sorry for their fans that they got lumbered with a numpty chairman, but they weren't complaining until they found out about the dodgy dealings, and even then it didn't stop them claiming to be the real champs!

They really need to let it go, and should know that yes we would be there to help if they ever REALLY needed it.

I remember the beer bottle welcome at Chesterfield in 2000 and the welcoming committee in the streets after the game.

A bunch of nasty inbred northern trogs, who can go f*** themselves as far as Im concerned.

A sentiment I'd have to agree with having been there that night. They are still so bitter and twisted that I can't be bothered to go on any board that involves Chesterfield knuckle scrapers and their obsession with being the 'real champions'. "Can't you add up you brain dead morons?"

"Hang on. We were the real champions for that year. Only Brighton fans believe different. The physcholical pressure put on the players by the F.A. gifted you a 'championship.' There was no way you were the best team. We were stiched up!"

Time makes memories fade. Even at the time the Cheats overlooked the behaviour of a group of their fans who, with the style of a right wing paramilitary group, defended the board and their actions.

Only when the points deduction came did anyone start to peer into the state of the club. In other words the majority stayed silent while they where doing well, then cried about how unfair it was when we took the Chamionship from them.

I dont wish any bad on them now. I just pity them that they are now misguided enough to still believe they should have won the division. Pity that they are still pround of the club and fans that behaved in that manner.
