I know this may be a stooopid question but if i ring the ticket office can i only buy one ticket and not two so i can sit next to my non-season ticket mate?

If you have a season ticket for 2012/13 but didn't have one last year, your points will be added on July 10th.

I'm awaiting the 1000 membership points so I can get a Chelsea ticket, after calling the club they said the same as cloud mentioned above. There will still be tickets at that time.

Yes you will have to wait for tickets to go on general sale, of they do

Is it likely tickets will go on sale regardless of points? I have a couple of mates who want to go but only have 40 points each

I imagine you'll at the very least need some points, as Chelsea have sold out their allocation - but 40 may well be OK.
