From BBC Sport

Leeds United's highly-rated keeper Scott Carson is set to sign for Chelsea, report BBC Radio Leeds.
The England Under-21 international is understood to have held initial talks and could complete a move before the end of the week.

Leeds have already turned one bid down for the 19-year-old, who has been linked with Liverpool and West Brom

It is thought Chelsea would pay about £1m for the player, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Leeds had offered the teenager a new deal in the hope of warding off interested parties, which also included Championship high-flyers Wigan.

Seems a bit odd to me when they all ready have 2 class keepers.
He is a good up and coming keeper i just hope he doesnt do a Cole or a Parker and ruin his future there as the they did.

Incredible. £1 million for a Leeds reserve. He hasn't played a single game for them this season! And he's only played a grand total of 3 first team games in previous seasons.

He has only ever made two first team appearances, is pretty much unproven in the grand sceme of things, got stage fright in a big way when he played against Chelscum, but hey we'll take the money. Thanksmuchly.

Though no doubt it will turn out to be much less than £1m

It'll help to cover the 1.6 million that players agents have somehow managed to pick off the carcass of Leeds United.

Vultures the lot of 'em.

That bill wasn't just for players agents it was for agents of Leeds Utd also.

Read - close friends and a family member of the current board when I say agents of Leeds Utd.

I read a piece by Mihir Bose in the Telegraph this morning. Seems like this Sainsbury fella has about as much business nous and experience as me. He's involved with 3 companies. One of them has never traded, another made £18,000 profit and spent £80,000 and the final one has run up debts of over £250,000.

Dammit, a million quid from Chelsea will help Leeds stave off administration and that 10 point deduction. Ridiculous price for an untried 19 year old - I hope the deal falls through. With a bit of luck, the administrators will be in by the end of the month.

Fans United will never be defeated. Or something like that.

Easy - the administrators will be knocking by the end of the month with or without the £1m from the sale of Carson.

And those who posted about Sainsbury - Seb is a good guy, not a Leeds fan but he does have the positive future (both financial and otherwise) of Leeds at heart. And he is just the front of a group of men, it's not him alone.

Unfortunatly the buy back clauses for both Elland Road and Thorp Arch rest with the current board, whomever takes over Leeds Utd will not not automatically have the right to the buy back. That has been a huge stumbling block in the deal.

You could say Krasner doesn't want to sell, because god forbid it all comes out that one board member sold himself our assets using money he took form the football club.

Tick tock Krasner.

Sorry to be harsh, and I have nothing against Leeds fans. But the way that club has been run is obscene, and what just about did it for me was seeing Leeds splashing the cash AGAIN during the summer and the early part of the season on new players. Whilst Leeds were forking out £700k on Healy and bringing in half a dozen ex-Premiership players on christ-knows-what kind of salary, the Albion were scratching around looking for free transfers and loan deals, and relying on the begging bowl from the fans.

Now there are also reports of Leeds blowing £1.6m on agents fee's in the last 6 months. Sorry, but if any club deserves to go into administration, its Leeds.

Who told you Healy cost us 700k? I can tell you know that the figure (which while undisclosed is no big secret) is not anywhere near 700k.

That was the reported figure in most of the papers at the time. Leeds HAVE spent well over 3/4 of a million in transfer fees this season - a budget far, far in excess of our own and most other clubs at this level (and one which should have been beyond Leeds as well, but the Leeds board seem to play to different rules when it comes to finances).
