Cheap hotels in London over July

Need some recommendations due to family visiting from states, looking for decent but cheap hotels/B&B's or whatever in centre of london for 3 days sightseeing we are taking them on.

look in and around City end, business booking lighter that time of year so may be cheaper. though i dont think the words "decent", "cheap" and "centre of London" belong in a sentance together, pick two.

Thanks for all responses, should help!

They are staying at mine but treating them to a few days in London and want to be in centre so they can cram everything in, never been to UK before (Its the Outlaws rather than my side )

There's a slight element of a gamble with Priceline but if you use BetterBidding you can, in a lot of cases, almost guarantee which hotel you'll get.

We've had decent Park Lane hotels for way below the rate, at the time, on Expedia.

Surely when posting a thread like this, you should clarify your own definition of 'cheap'!
