Taking flat packs on the underground isn't a problem aslong as they aren't too long/big which could mean the blocking of the main doors or inter-carriage doors. You'll find most station staff wont let you thru the barriers with anything over 7 foot in length (for the love of God no lewd comments Gunter )
As long as you can safely manage the pack and it isn't considered a danger or hazard then you'll be ok.
