I agree. I think the word chav had its uses when it describe a particular sub-culture (ie baseball caps and burberry wearing) but seems to have got completely out of hand. It's now just used as a catch-all term for 'working class' and it is snobbishness at its worst.

BTF is right; there's no justification of calling this young woman those sorts of names.
