Morning all,

Between myself and Alan, we have been looking at the costs and logistics of getting this show on the road.

The rough costs of vehicle hire, insurance and food/drink supplies is between £300 - £350.

Due to size of mini buses available, cost implications and health and safety issues, we need to keep numbers down to FIFTEEN people.
Myself, and my friend whose idea it was, are part of the 15, as is Vicki (Edna K), so there are TWELVE spots on this up for grabs.

Therefore I would ask those who have previously shown interest on this thread, to PM me with your real name and contact email address, if

* you DEFINITELY want to do this.
* have access to a bike and helmet
* are available on Friday the 5th August.
* willing to chip in (upto) £25 entrance fee costs.
* do your bit to try and raise money for REMF.

IT WILL BE FIRST COME FIRST SERVED

It would be good to get a mix of old and young, male and female

Costs could go up if we want to purchase t-shirts, some sort of medal/recognition of achievement etc, but I will look into that once the final 15 are sorted

One detail worth discussing on here (someone else raised it a few pages ago). Do you have any problem with those of us who are London-based startting in Gillingham? It seems a bit daft to travel to Brighton just to be carted with bike to Gillingham, with only a photo opp to show for it.

I think it should be fine to meet at the priestfield

I'd be happy to say that NSC will make a contribution, of a size to be determined but enough to make a difference, towards the cost of the event for any rider reaching a reasonable sponsorship target. Again, this amount to be determined.

Also we need a NAME for this event, so please throw your ideas into the hat.
So far we have had:

"Pedalling For The People" - to commemorate the Albion fans who didn't get to see Falmer.

- "The Last Ride" - the fight is finally over. Albion fans have a new home.
- The Final Frontier
- The Seagulls Cycle Challenge
- ABC - AMEX Bike Challenge
- THE GREAT CYCLE HOME
- GROUNDS FOR CYCLING
- THE FOUR STADIUM TOUR
- For The Ones We Lost

I don't see why, it's only riding from Kent. You'll probably be less likely to need CPR than most of us
