It may be on the BBC website, but it's not on the Seagulls site(yet)
£30m For an eighteen year old sounds steep, unless of course he's as good as has been reported.....time will tell
It probably won't be on the Albion official site until he's actually physically singed (and the ink is dry!) - the BBC article only reports he is going to sing after his medical. As is the way of the world these days, it'll probably be on the Albion FB page before the official site anyway.

Agreed you mean? ??? Got to get through the medical yet!
Who was the last player with a deal done who failed the medical?
Asa Hartford? Leeds missed a trick there as his congenital heart defect didn't affect his career.
Went on to play 749 matches

We had one, literally about 3 years ago. A big African striker from Switzerland or Austria (?) who was found to have a heart issue, and the transfer collapsed.

We had one a few seasons ago if I remember correctly? From the Swiss league?

The way the deal was done, and when it was done (3rd. February) did we have any choice but to leave him at Numberg? - we'd missed the deadline to bring him here, hadn't we?
Again, Tzimas wanted to see out the season with Nuremberg and picked us over the likes of Villa because they wanted to bring him to England (or send him out on loan to a club other than Nuremberg) in January.

There you go. Spoiling my pleasing narrative with so-called facts.

Raphael Dwamena

We were unfortunately very right to pass up on him as he sadly passed away whilst playing football aged 28.

FWIW i think This is the very first tweet reporting Kostoulas interest by Brighton on April 12th. And our scouts/reps attendance at a match (which ironically he didn't play in) . Says Arsenal were also interested.

how does the "announcment" of this signing work with the comical split transfer window ?

as the window is split :
1-10 june to allow big clubs to get players infor Club world cup , then
16 -june (to allow the parachuting-in of more big names (ronaldo) for knockstages of CWC ) til 1 sept

i bet we will not announce anything til 16th June to meet the "rules"

Expect to see a couple around the 30th, as there is still a PSR deadline, so some clubs looking to move some funds about.

Dwamena (RIP) but also didn't we have two players that failed medicals that summer? A Brazilian midfielder called Neto or something like that? Think it was a knee issue.
