A couple of seasons ago there were a few classics. At Dagenham and Redbridge we had the re-scheduled match in March where we won every game. We were in the overflow bit right next to the Daggers fans and a few Albion fans started singing "We'll never play you again". And then people pointed out that we were playing them a few weeks later at home.

The one that i really hate and won't join in (though I have to admit if I was still in my teens or twenties I might have done) is the
"I wanna go home, I wanna go hooooooooome, [insert opposition team town name] is a XXXXhole, I wanna go home"
I was in the same overflow terrace at the Dagenham away game in 2011 and some of our fans started singing that. The response from the home fans just next to us was a lone and rather hurt response from a Dagenham fan who simply said "Shut up!"

Personally I think that small clubs like Daggers who have dragged themselves up and are punching above their weight, don't deserve over-cocky fans of bigger clubs reminding them that their town isn't great. Clubs like Burnley (genuine XXXXhole with a high proportion of Neanderthal fans) or even bigger clubs like Liverpool who deserve to be taken down a peg or two can have it with both barrels though, so you have my blessing to sing it there.

Remember kids, choose your chants wisely and lets be careful out there!

And same season at Brentford. A couple of players get injured on the far side away from the dug-outs and finally all was sorted and the physios walked back round the pitch in front of us Albion fans. A bloke near the middle piped up to the bald physio "Oy! f*** off Baldy, you bald c*nt". The physio looked bemused and pointed out he was the Brighton physio.

That was a mate of mine, I was standing next to him - it's not the first time he's been embarrassment

After a few beers at Ipswich one season, I was standing on the right hand side of our fans and started the "we're the left side" song....

Have to agree with you....don't think we should ever behave like big time Charlie's when you think of where we've come from. I've got a lot of time for fans of smaller clubs

And at ALL black away players during that era in every ground in the country!

The great thing is most people's disgust at reading about that racism shows how far we have moved on in 30 years!

Brighton factually.....
Middlesbrough away after reports of local on going child abuse in the press, some Brighton morons started singing "you only score with your children". I clearly recall that as it was the first time I actually wanted us to lose, and I was ashamed head down walking all the way back to the station.

Preston early 90s or late 80s not sure, but the local Leyland daff factory had just closed & Brighton fans started singing "theres only one ford transit"....... I must admit that did make me chuckle
