Change of medical staff?

Following the premature retirements of Rodger, Blackwell, Piercy and Roberts might it not be sensible to review the abillities of our current medical staff?

Im sure specialists also have a big part to play in injury diagnosis/recovery but 4 retirements seems more than just bad luck and, especially with little Hinshs injury and importance of a quick, full recovery, maybe it would be sensible to have a shake up??

It's nothing to do with our medical staff. Roberts even went to Lilleshall for treatment and they couldn't help him.

It is more to do with the fact that we can only afford players who have been injury prone in the past and therefore cheaper to hire.

Yorkie! Stop being so silly, everyone knows it's down to Malcolm forcing Bargain Buckets down their throats whilst dancing on their injuries and chanting strange Eastern mystic mantras.

Shame on me

I should have realised

dont get me wrong- im not suggesting blame lies solely at the feet of the physios. however, if a manger loses lots of games he gets sacked- often when its not only him to blame.

and. after the abysmal treatmant of big mac last monday, and the misdiagnosis of Hinsh (when it was pretty clear what the problem was straight away) i just think it might be sensible to review our backroom staff (who we have been VERY loyal to).

Right, joking aside, my husband went to A & E when he did his cruciate ligament in. They drew off a load of blood and it still wasn't diagnosed properly.
It was a year later when it was realised that his anterior cruciate ligament had torn and he then had corrective surgery. It took a keyhole operation with a laser to find out the true extent of the injury.

Are you medically qualified? Do you know how easy it is to treat injuries or how difficult?

Ben Roberts was injury prone when he was at Middlesboro per a Smoggy friend of mine.

Rubbish last monday was very much the fault of the St Johns Ambulance taking nearly 10 minutes to realise that it is there job to get injured people off the pitch.
As for the injury to Hinsh they had to wait for the swelling to go down around the injury before putting a definite diagnosis on the injury, this would have happened at any other club in the world and had nothing to do with the medical staff as I'm sure he would have been passed over to a specialist by then anyway.

A virus is unpredictable. Big Mac had had treatment and had the all clear. He was playing strongly but all of a sudden ran out of steam. It can happen to anyone at any time. I don't think the delay in the stretcher arriving had anything to do with it either. I've had a virus where I was off work for a week, felt perfectly fine and then had to go home on the Monday afternoon because it hadn't quite got out of my system. Viruii don't show up in the bloodstream so it is difficult to tell when they are clear.

f*** off back to sea Sailor Sam because you make a crap landlubber. Leave the dog on terra firma because he's obviously got more savvy than you.

Did you think before you typed out that load of bullshit? You're definitely talking out of your arse.

I disagree with the comments about getting the medical staff out, malcolm is a freind of mine and i have done loads of work for him. When it comes to diagnosing sports injuries he is one of the best in the county (well best that i know). icurrently own my own sports injuries clinic and have referred clients to malcolm for expert advice.
If you look at the players that have reteried this season 2 of them were in there thirties and nearing the end of there pro careers, (Jolly and Dean), One of them had a illness that not treatable and can not be cured (John Piercy) and the other one (Ben Roberts) has been unlucky and by him haveing to retire has nothing to do with the medical staff.
When it comes to diagnosing a sporting injury it can become very difficult as there is a lot of swelling arounf the joint, and this has to subside before any proper diagnosis can take place, this can take up to 3 days to reduce. This is why it took two days (and by the way not a mis diagnosis) from the medical staff before the injury was confirmed in Adam Hinselwoods case.
