If you think about it though, all transfer values are boll*cks really... a player is worth what someone is prepared to pay for him. A player doesn't really have a 'sitting' transfer value at all ever does he?
Exactly right - the only way you can roughly guess a players value would be to look at the 'going rate' for players of equivalent age/ability at that level based on recent transactions in the market place.
But so many anomalies, for example compare Van Der Vaart costing £8mil and Andy Carroll costing £30mil, no website could have predicted those fees!
