Knowing the fixtures might help!

Tuesday, 6 December 2011
Barnsley v Crystal Palace, 19:45

Wednesday, 7 December 2011
Hull v Birmingham, 19:45

As long as Palace lose I'm happy. Why would we want them to draw?

2 draws would be best but I'd take a Barnsley win and a draw in the Hull vs Birmingham game.

A win for Barnsley against Palace would see them only 2 points behind us. The best result would be a draw leaving both sides 4 points behind us.

Why would anyone want Palace EVER to do anything other than LOSE?

What if they were playing someone on the last day of the season and we need that "someone" to lose for us to be promoted ?

The question was what result would suit us best and from a league table point of view a draw between Palace and Barnsley would be the best result for us. If the question had been what result do you want to see then obviously Palace getting tonked 6-0 and 3 players sent off would be what we'd all want.

We wouldn't want to give the travelling 91 Palace fans anything to cheer on their trip home tonight!

When we played and destroyed Watford 4-0 in the fated first season back in the Championship, I remember us wildly celebrating a Palace goal to put them 1-0 up against relegation haunted Stoke City.

For the purpose of this exercise.

Palace DEFEAT
Brum/Hull DRAW

Good Point, well made.

But surely a one off wanting Palace to win!

Apart from last Wednesday , totally agree.

although the logic having them both draw works for me , of course the bastards will now win :(

Looking at the big picture, I'm OK with that, even if its Palace...
