Seems that the champions league final is in TURKEY.

Leeds aren't happy and have sent up a on line petition.

If some of the instances that have happened in Turkey were at the ground of an English club, we would have been kicked out of Europe!

The ground is no where near Galatasary's ground, it is out of the city in an Olympic Village (though Galatasary play there for now) WHY shouldn't they get their chnace to host it, they are a member of UEFA and it is a 5 Star stadium.

Because the Turkish FA do nothing to stop hooliganism or protect travelling fans and staging the European Cup Final should be seen as a reward.

If the disturbances at Fernebache and Galatasary had happened in London, UEFA would not let the final be played at Old Trafford and we would all be banned from Europe.

Well you go and explain that to the families of the 2 lads killed out there in 2000 and the other fans that have been assaulted and injured out there by the so called Turkish football fans.

I didn't hear many complain when it was hosted in Scotland. They have a rich history of football violence.

People are killed every year in football related violence in Italy, if they were given a Champion's League final, I don't think too many would be up in arms.

Come to think of it, it wasn't too long ago that someone died in this country from football violence. Maybe it should never been hosted at Old Trafford?

You are probably right - I shouldn't have said EVERY year. But nevertheless, the Italians have a serious problem with crowd violence and people do get seriously hurt and killed.

My point is - where is the proof that Turkey are any worse than anyone else?
