Not really Celtic's fault for Rangers implosion. As for ' a tainted title' Rangers had been winning league titles previously with money they could not afford until it all caught up with them. Despite the lack of revenue in the Scottish game Celtic did manage to beat Barcelona and reach the last 16 in the Champions league last season.

Well done Celtic.

If the SPL was a road race it would consist of an old BMW sports car from the 60s, three Smart Cars, two Robin Reliants, a mobility scooter, three bicycles and a couple of skateboards. And because Hearts went into administration they had the chain removed from their bicycle as a punishment.

some of the shit you read about scottish football no wonder they get fed up with the English sometimes. Some great clubs and great traditions. and the nuttiest rivalry in the UK if not the world. and square goalposts. and i saw a film once where they had a girl up front and everyone tried to get off with her.

jocko football gets a bad press down here but i think its great.

You'd think the Celtic players would act with a bit of dignity when it comes to celebrating the MTL title. But no, not a chance.

"Yeah! We beat St Johnstone, Motherwell and the 16th Maryhill & District Brownies! Have some! WINNERS! What time's the open top bus parade?"

Don't you think it would have been quite demeaning to the other 11 teams to NOT celebrate? "We know we are so much better than you all that we aren't even going to bother acknowledging that we've won the league competition that we've all competed in all season". I think celebrating last night WAS acting with a bit of dignity actually - no-one is kidding themselves about what it really is.

I suppose at least if Scotland votes for independence it will put to bed forever the idea of either Celtic/rangers joining the FL

Could they not have just handed Celtic the trophy before the season started and saved all the bother?

Same could be said of F1, all the teams put a cheque in an envelope, Bernie opens them all, the cheque made out to the highest number wins.

Those with average home attendance this season of 44644 (so far) ?

This official figure includes season ticket holders who haven't been turning up to most games. There is a real figure which had been uncovered recently under Freedom of Information which shows that their real attendances are on the whole well below 30k, hence the huge swathes of empty seats which you see at each home game now. Despite the fact that they have the league won before a ball is kicked each season, they are the club who are missing Rangers the most.

I'm inclined to question this, as the FOI Act covers public, not private, organisations
