185-7 sounds a bit average but is actually the highest batting total of the day. And obviously already well ahead of anything we are likely to make...

Magoffin 17 / 7 / 44 / 5

Another season of 'where the hell would we be without the Goff' ahead of us?

Its deja vu all over again.

Worrying times for Sussex
Without magoffin Notts would be out of sight.
Whittinghsm not up to it.
Van zyl has made a terrible start to his Sussex career with bat and ball.
Evans may come good but again , dreadful start
Weise - appears to be an all rounder who's neither much of a batsman nor a bowler.
Finch improving , but Slowly
Archer one of the few who has something about him.
Credit to brown too.

Difference with ours is we've nothing behind Archer and the Goff. Once they tire, Notts will flay the back up, and recover to 300.

And so it came to pass.

But even worse than anticipated. Worrying when you've got a team 180/7 then they put together 130 partnership at comfortably over a run a ball.

And we have no batting to speak of. Thank **** we can't get relegated again.

Rape of Hastings, Sussex
Left arm seamer. Seen him a few times in the Sussex leagues.

He didn't play the last 2 months last year for Hastings Priory due to a back injury. This was a huge step up today.
