First time I’ve seen sausage rolls in the North Shelf at Forest, praying for a repeat tonight, pretty darn good

The sausage rolls are now far superior to the Piglets pies that I always used to have. I just hope Sodexo don't start messing them up. Cold/soggy pastry really isn't very nice!
As posted elsewhere - my pie on Saturday (pre-match/WSU) was the worst I’ve ever had at the Amex in all our time there.

Not even luke warm and very soggy to the point of id removed it from the sleeve and held it between finger and thumb it would have immediately fallen apart.

More evidence that WSU is the forgotten part of the stadium.

I did see your post which took me back to when I stopped having them beginning of last season. This was after several seasons of a PP pie being part of my match day experience. I even corresponded with PP about it who asked me a number of questions - including which stand (WSU - like yourself) and also timing. They did say they were having some issues with Sodexo in some stands which they were looking to rectify. I'd leave it a few weeks and then try again ... but sadly I didn't detect any improvement.

PP did send me a box of 6 pies which I 'cooked' in our air fryer. The came our great - just like they used to be.

jacket potatoes were a good introduction but they are served too luke warm and beans barely cooked had to take past 2 back and the replacement was no better will eat ahead of as find the food at the stadium poor. Sometimes timings doesn't make that easy and i wonder have the burgers got any better?

I've got to know some of the PP folk over the years and I did intend to drop them a line, which I still will.

Not because I want anything in return, but I know they care about how their pies reach us, and will want to try and resolve any issues.

Yes agree, and often don't even have them at all. It shows the general level of incompetence as they are one of the easiest non-meat options to prepare and hot-hold. Given the extremely poor level of non-meat options it's a shame they can't even get this simple thing right.

Google's AI overview of Sodexo. There should be no place for these cowboys at the Amex:

Sodexo, a food services and facilities management company, has faced criticism regarding the quality of its catering, with some users reporting issues such as inedible food, raw ingredients, and poor management.

Here's a more detailed look at the issues:

  • Poor Food Quality:
    • Some users have described Sodexo catering as "absolute garbage" and "inedible," with complaints about raw food, tasteless sandwiches, and poor quality ingredients.
    • One user mentioned a buffet at a passing out parade where the spiced chicken was raw and the coating was "akin to eating nuclear fuel," while sandwiches were dry and tasteless.
    • Another user reported that the food provided for children was "frozen, processed and just gross".
  • Management Issues:
    • Some users have criticized Sodexo's management, citing unreasonable expectations, bad wages, and a lack of benefits.
    • One user reported a negative experience with Sodexo's application process, stating that their application was withdrawn despite being the successful candidate.
  • Customer Service:
    • Some reviewers have reported negative experiences with Sodexo's customer service.
  • Ethical Concerns:
    • Sodexo has faced scrutiny regarding its ethical practices, including allegations of wage violations and mistreatment of workers.
    • There have been reports of Sodexo facing legal action and settlements related to labor issues.
  • Company History:
    • Sodexo is a French company headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, near Paris.
    • Sodexo's independence is ensured through the shareholding of the family of Pierre Bellon, founder of the Company, through Bellon SA.
  • Trustpilot Reviews:
    • Sodexo has a TrustScore of 1.5 out of 5, with 245 reviews.
    • A significant number of reviews are negative, with many users expressing dissatisfaction with the company's services and products.

So opinion is divided then?

Thank you for everyone in the Terrace as whilst there were sardines everywhere there, the North concourse was a ghost town, no specials (pun) and the two small rubber tyres in a stale bun with no fake blood to mask their taste were available with no queue.

Had a Chicken pie for the first time in a while. Last time this season. Lukewarm and lacking in filling.

Quality has gone downhill.

IMO.

Nobody seems to know how to cook them properly any more.

They fall apart when you pick them up, now, as they're always bloody soggy.
