I'd rather McGhee took a few games to assess the situation and was allowed to put in place a proper, long term plan for success, than win his first few games under the temporary euphoria of having a new manager then slowly fade into nothing.
We need to clear out the dead wood, get some new faces in, and build some solid foundations for the future. I can live with a few less than inspiring results for now if it means we have a decent basis for success ahead. Micky Adams championship winning season started pretty badly I'm sure and look where we ended up.
Give the guy longer than two league games to sort things out!
