brighton, actually
have BB made any announcement to the housmates, or given each a general warning about whats been going on?

if only 10% of the complaints (37,000 so far??) made are serious, they have to act, or suffer the consequences.

anyone giving out this kind of aggro at work would have been suspended, or aked by now.

just because its on tv, it doesnt them give special rights to ignore peoples's dignity.

that one im not certain about it being so much about here skin colour.

again yes its COMPLETELY out of order, but unless im looking at this to straight, racism is commenting/prejudcing against someopne about/because of the COLOUR OF HER SKIN.

i think they are just BULLYING HER. and scoring cheap cheap shots by relating it back to her origin. but ive not heard the 3 girls say anything about her skin colour

and again if i said to someone from birmingham/croydon(going along with the joke that they live in squallor), ''i dont know where your hands have been'' is that racist? no because they are white and people dont react when it is said to someone white.

im in NO WAY defending that little shit goody
  but im not certain its actual racism in my opinion, just POINT BLANK OUT OF ORDER

Racism isn't just about skin colour, the differing skin tones are just a part of it. Racism is about a lack of tolerence and understanding of different RACE people. That is their culture, colour, religions, everything about them.

The comment isn't so much about her skin colour as more about her culture and customs.

And it is very definitely a race issue.

It's also a class issue. The tabloids are heavily to blame for giving any kind of oxygen of publicity to that educationally sub-normal inbred trog from the Sarf Lunnun underclass in the first place.

i see what you mean, but if someone(using this example again) slagged off a brummie you wouldnt say it was racism.

same goes if they picked on an american

People being from Birmingham is not a race issue. Brummies are English/ British by race.

I agree that comments about Americans would be racist as that is referring to a nation.

Why does that stupid argument keep being trotted out again and again? You don't have a long history of discrimination and attacks against people in this country because they have a Birmingham accent or because they are "from Croydon". THAT's why it's different.

You remind me of that old bigot Jimmy Hill who defended Ron Atkinson after the Desailly furore because Atkinson's remarks were apparently no different to everyone calling him "chinny" when he played football.

It had to be patiently explained to Hill that there wasn't a vast history of exploitation, discrimination and random attacks against people with slightly big chins

I always though Jade was mixed race?

Anyway, it's a pile of shit so I don't know why I'm interested anyway!

On the front page of one of the tabloids today they were making a big thing about how politicians were making too much of all this while the world falls apart around them. Meanwhile, the full BB story was on pages 2,3,4,5,6,7,etc,etc.

ummm but atkinson made a reference to desailly's race.

the housemates never did, they made reference to her background. never mentioned colour. so yes it is the same as slagging someone off from somewhere in britain(fvor where they are from) in my opinion.
