She’s no Stephen Lloyd MP, who was the absolute best constituency MP probably in the country. But her heart was always in the right place, she practiced what she preached. She went down a bit in my estimations after the fundraising scandal (for which she was never found guilty of wrongdoing), and the all-woman cabinet comments which felt very divisive and unrealistic.

But on the whole I have no beef with Caroline Lucas, she has a hell of a lot more integrity than most MPs (not that it’s a high bar).

News thread turns into binfest in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…..

I’ve got cycle lanes, “woke”, Corbyn, Brighton Council and Brexit on my bingo card. How about you?
You forgot about multicoloured bins.

Having lived in Caroline Lucas Ward for the last 8 years, she has never knocked on my door. Indeed I was having a conversation with neighbours at the council election who said that she had never been seen in our road.
With the students voting at home rather than locally, she would have been vulnerable at the next election..
The lowest number of votes was in Coldean Ward with less than 25% of voters voting, whilst the rest of the City was close to 45-50%
Maybe she knows who you are.

I would have thought NSC’s richest person would have someone to check the door cam for him. And come to think of it, someone to answer the door for him as well.

Agreed Labour knocked on my door as early as March, very solid campaign strategy that ultimately won them the council 👍
I always knew there was a decent socialist in there somewhere; I’m pleased you found him.

Impressive parliamentarian. If I lived in the constituency I'd have voted for her.

It will be very interesting to see what happens at the general election.

EDIT: By 'very interesting' I mean mildly distracting amongst Tory carnage day.

Bring it.

Brilliant politician and so proud that B&H elected a green MP. Hope they win again. f***ing terrible what us humans across the globe are doing to the planet - almost all in the name of money.

He sits a few seats along from me. I'm not challenging what you claim but he has always come across as a decent and friendly person to me whether this in the 1901 or prior to this when I was a member of the Labour party.
I engaged with him a couple of times when he was my MP and felt he came across combative and a bit patronising. Then there's this https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/6813331.amp/
