This is sort of rumour you look at and go 'yip, makes sense'. 20, South American, Jewell was bound to be aware of him. Will add quality. Crazy thing about Saints is he, WP and Lavia would all undoubtedly improve our squad. As probably would the other WP and their young German CB. Horribly mismanaged, they've been.

Genuinely amazing people don’t get the 40% thing.

We signed Caicedo for 5M

When he’d played only 16 games would we have sold him for 7M? Even if we had been relegated.

Not fully proven in PL if played 16 games but if done well in them it’s a good sign. What if fans of other clubs were saying the things on this thread.

Without the relegation it would be a hell of a lot more than a 40% increase to steal a newly signed player away from an English club after 5 months if they were starting already and playing well.

How many times have we bought Prem proven players from a newly relegated club in recent years? Welbeck we picked up on a free. Was the last one Mooy?

They usually cost too much, the value is elsewhere.

SOUTHAMPTON are digging their heels in over the sale of Carlos Alcaraz.

A host of clubs, including Brighton and AC Milan, have shown interest in the midfielder.

But the Saints, who only signed Alcaraz in January, are reluctant to lose the 20-year-old following an impressive start to life in English football.

The south coast side have slapped a £25million valuation on the Argentine in order to try and ward off suitors.
