7AM departure from Tunbridge Wells, hopefully arrive in time for a few in the rugby club.
Head north post match for dinner at the in laws in chilly jocko land, a good night's kip followed by a Sunday morning fry up, then head south back to civilisation.

5.30, costa express, ouch.

Why leave at 5.30 – AA says just over 6 hours if you’re driving, allow 1 hour for breaks and you could get there for 2 if you left at 7am. Suppose there must be a few stops – even so it seems ridiculously early.

Yep, 7.30 train. Have to respect the Carlisle pact, we go whenever we're all in the country. Last time I missed the train and ended up getting the next one on my own. As we'd already been promoted I had a magnum of champers with me, which I joyfully necked to drown my sorrows at being on my lonesome. I had to be carried into a taxi when I got to Carlisle, don't remember owt about the game.

I was there. You didn't miss much. It was 0-0.

ERR, it's a bus! I thought it'd be leaving earlier than that. Your assuming no holdup on the m25 or the m6 too!

Thanks Greens :(
Plus one here. Been onto the Carlisle buses website and it's a 76 out of the town centre for the footie...

15 hour round trip from Btn on the train, so let's hope the lads 'turn up', to coin a phrase
