Cardiff bid for Harding?

Got something to say or just want fewer pesky ads? Join us... 😊

I've had a quick scout through and haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. One of the papers yesterday (Mirror or People) had a little note that Cardiff had made a 'cheeky' £300000 bid for England U21 International left back Dan Harding rejected but that we are under increasing pressure to sell.

I would have snapped their hand off - he's a good prospect but no more and we need the money. Mayo and Jones can both play left back.

Any thoughts?

(If it has already been talked about - I'll get the 'lack of search function' excuse in now! :) )

I cannot believe that, with the current injury and fitness crisis in our defensive ranks, that we would be considering selling a defender at present.

Possibly in January, if all the others are back fit and playing, then a BIG offer for Harding (£500k+) would be hard to turn down, but not now!

The board are begging the fanss for money so I don't think it's that surprising. I think I would have taken it although if what BR says is true then it's worth holding out. Remember what happened when we held out on Bobby though.

I personally think Hinshelwood and Virgo are better defenders than Harding.

If we get £500k, a Quarter of what the club says it needs!!! then I would definately offload him and laugh all the way to the bank.

We have Mayo, Jones, and Watson (Gulp) who can all play left back.

If teams that are bigger and have more money than us are not watching us then they are not doign their jobs properly.

We are playing Cardiff soon so of course they are going to watch us. And Wigan may well be playing Sheffield United soon.

Rip their hands off for this sort of money. Harding is so over rated it is not true. I really don't understand all the hype about him.

That pass on sat summed him up. Looked up at Currie who was 4 yards from him and passed it straight to the ball boy on the running track infront of the north stand!! Quality

Wigan may have but I can't see Cardiff having the money at the moment.

Keep him. He looked good on Saturday and can only appreciate in value.
