If we get there early enough, can you park in the car park at the ground?

Also, does anyone here park in the roads to the left of Withdean as you leave the sportsman? How early do you have to get to park there?

at home
you have to speak to the club to get a car parking space ( or get there at 9 am and park then)

You are not meant to park anywhere near Withdean, Morris. You should know that. Use the park and ride facilities.

I park on Surrenden Road and have frequent run-ins with the stewards.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
PLEASE park on my street MORRIS (Withdean Road) it would give me so much amusement to watch your car being towed away.

I thought there was a parking exclusion zone around the ground - wasn't it part of the agreement for letting us play there?

Come on, I thought everyone knows theres parking EXCLUSION ZONE round Withdean...what time you get there is completely irrelevent. If its football traffic, its BANNED from parking at the Sportsman, to the left, right, up, down on top of and beneath Withdean and the surrounding area of about a mile - mile & half.

Unless you're special in some way....

Yes. Parking exclusion zones there are. But, has anyone seen the number of albion fans who park in the roads up the hill to the left of Withdean? Lots.

I was just asking.

I have got to the club car park at about 11, parked there, got bus into town and then back to watch game. Never had any trouble.

Then why park there? It's the club who'll get it in the neck from local residents just so you can take your car. That's why you pay extra for the travel voucher.

Real clever. People who live near the stadium are getting more and more pissed off with people openly flouting the parking restrictions. They are gaining more support for their opposition to the extra seats at Withdean by pointing out to other residents that the parking situation is getting worse with every season with a 7,000 capacity.
I have family who live at Varndean Gardens and they are not happy at having the roads clogged up with football traffic every other weekend. It may sound petty to us (it does to me) but they are blocking the club making more money by opposing the increase in capacity at Withdean.

Morris, thats UTTER bollocks, I have lived up there for the entire time we have played at Withdean and, sure you get the odd car that parks up there (normally because they know someone who lives there etc) but LOTS is just pure drivel.

The systen IS working, twattish posts like yours are pretty unhelpful

Just for the record I have always parked at the park and ride or got the train apart from once two seasons ago when I parked in the club car park.

I parked in the exclusion zone a couple of weeks ago as I couldn't walk very well.

Best thing if you have to park there is to go in The Sportsman car park or park just outside the exclusion zone.

I expect Morris wants to drive as he does not want to get a rail replacement bus.
