Assuming he's fit enough for pre-season, I suspect Uwe might be considered a possibility, too.
As has been mentioned several times over this season by the more experienced players: we have several natural leaders that could be captain, and they're not too worried about the official tag of Captain as they all do their bit anyway.

I think Liam is a great leader and amazing at getting the fans going but just don't see him as a captain for some reason
