Is this a joke thread? Greer is one of the best CB's in the league.

I do think we have a tendancy on here to unfairly knock Greer. IMO he's a very under rated player and amongst many good signings Poyet made, Greer was possibly the most important.

So personally I would keep Greer as captain but if not then yes, Crofts would be the logical next choice.

I agree that Greer is under rated. Hughes for me as a second choice along with Calderon. Hughes must have something. Captained club and country.

No disrespect to the late Tony Grealish, but wasn't he vice captain to Foster? Memory might be fading but he might have been captain in his last season before Wilson took over.
