Went to 'Sharx' pool hall in Montreal yesterday evening, and what a great experience it was too.

The place was enormous - must have had a good 40 or more pool tables. Actually it could be double that - I didn't count - and there were loads. All of the tables seemed to be in very good condition too - no ropey cloth or dodgy cushions.

There was a large bar area and a large lounge area with decent big soft chairs and a whole load of TVs showing sport. The fighting in the Ice Hockey was of particular appeal.

But what really set this place apart were the waitresses. Now, most places here use waiter/waitress service and, maybe it's my age, but I find the whole thing far more civilised - sitting down and being served with drinks. Sure you have to tip (generally about 15%) but it's worth it.

Anyway - I digress - the waitresses. They were all, without exception, absolutely stunning. Jaw dropping, dribbling, eye popping stunning - and all dressed (or not in most cases) to show off their obvious talents. It really was amazing - how you are supposed to concentrate on your shots, I do not know.

Things is they knew it too - drinks were not cheap - 4 pints coming in at $24 (about £12), and if you handed them $30 they would pocket the extra $6 as a tip and you'd be too busy gawping to notice.

Quite spectacular. Watch and learn England.
