After a manic day on Tuesday (in the office about 7:30am, left at 11pm), I was determined to get out at a decent hour yesterday and have a beer.

Broke free at 6:15pm and headed for 'The London Pub' with a couple of colleagues.

Happy Hour meant it was two bottles of Corona for $10 until 9pm. Local draught beer was cheaper but I didn't fancy them. Various other colleagues arrived and before I knew it, it was 11pm. I was at a nice level of drunken-ness and was happy to call it a night. No such luck - one bright spark decides to get a round of shots in. Fair enough - nice way to end the night. It was about here it got messy as people took turns to get a round of shots in - tequila, vodka, Amaretto and various concoctions arrived and were downed.

It is then all a bit of a blur until I woke up this morning with a thumping headache, the mouth from hell and my wallet is $120 lighter.

And I've got a very important meeting, for the reason I am in Montreal, in 2 hours time.

Why, oh why?

Feck. The pint of milk I bought to help revive me is actually Chocolate milk.

Damn the French.

Although I suppose "Lait partiellement ecreme au chocolat" and the brown carton provided clues.

the things we do Bozza....

would it be possible to saunter in to said meeting with a venti latte? aids the drumming in ones head whilst the meeting is in progress....

otherwise chewing gum is the winner...although on an empty stomach with a hangover - tends to make me feel rather ill...

The sugar in the Chocolate milk will help revive you. Drink water too. Brush your teeth very well & use a mouthwash.

Get some fresh air before the meeting so that your skin doesn't look deathly white.

Smile :)

Took a couple of Advil to help the head.

Shortly after I got that "watery mouth" that indicated chunder city was approaching. Decided I couldn't so that in a work toilet - not good for the career and all that, so beat a hasty retreat.

Found myself in the 'Underground City' (because it gets so cold, Montreal has mall after mall underground all interconnected. Apparently you can walk about 2 miles without ever coming up to street level).

Annoying the feeling started to ease. I ended up in a food court and briefly contemplated some McDonald's fries. Decided against it and, after getting lost, started to head back. Got intercepted by a woman with a clipboard and in my weakened state I agreed to participate in her survey. This was a total disaster because I do not know Montreal at all well so could not tell her which shopping mall I prefered and why. I was also worried about redecorating her with chocolate milk vomit. Two or three minutes my arse.

Despite not being able to constructively answer more than about two questions she had me frozen there for about 10 minutes. Annoyingly some people who work here walked past. In the end I escaped, annoyed that I didn't get anything for my time and came back to work.

Still feel that a good chunder would help my cause.

Wow, I thought it was just me that this happened to.
Its reassuring to know I'm not alone.
