Of course they can. I have more women friends than men ones.

I don't think you can have friends of the opposite sex without at least one party in the friendship having at some point considered shagging the other one.

But, Junior, most of the girls you go after probably aren't old enough to know what shagging is!!

Spot on. That's exactly the point - you only need one party stop it being just friendship. I have plenty of female friends who would be simply horrified by the idea of sleeping with me - doesn't stop me being up for the idea though...

Nightmare scenario i find, i have male friends, but the only ones i never consider sleeping with are ones younger than me. Had good friendships ruined in the past because we 'crossed the line' and it's never the same again. :(

Depends how much you fancy your friend?
If she's "drop dead gorgeous" it's impossible.
Have been best mates with someone of the opposite sex for 20 years.
It would be like going out with my mother if we started dating.

I have female friends who I have opendly admitted to fancying, but it doesn't cause problems.

One in particular who I fancy the f*** out of it, and who also happens to be a very close friend, knows I like her and is fine with it, and is still happy to flirt with me.

Mind you, if I'm around her too much it becomes quite difficult because God I like her.

Not sure what would happen if we "crossed the line". I think we'd still be able to go back to being friends.

I have men as mates but they are mates and you just don't get involved in sleeping with them.

No way, it ruins everything, you may think you can still be friends but it just never works as one person will always want more to happen than the other.
