Not reall.

At least there is one compensation for all of this.....we are not Crystal palace fans.

Then it would be really awful.

Hey ho...its another day on the rollercoaster that is supporting the Blue and White stripes.

No-one said it would be easy, also no-one said it would be this f***ing hard, but who really cares what division we are in just so long as we get falmer.

in fact i dont care if we slip through all the divisions and end up in the Conference, just so long as we get falmer, then we can start again afresh

HANTS
Slow Roasted Ginger Pork

Ingredients
1 shoulder of pork weighing approximately 4kg/8Ib 2oz skin scored
4 garlic cloves, peeled and roughly chopped
4cm/1½inch piece fresh root ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
3 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp white wine vinegar

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas mark 7.
2. Place the pork skin side up on a rack over a roasting tin. Place the garlic and ginger in a pestle and mortar or food processor and pound or process until you get a rough paste then mix in the oil and vinegar. Rub the paste all over the scored skin of the pork. Place in the preheated oven and cook for 30 minutes.
3. Remove the pork from the oven, reduce the temperature to 150C/300F/Gas 2. Turn the pork over with the skin side down on the rack and return to the oven and cook for 4-5 hours.
4. Remove from the oven and turn up to the highest setting 220C/425F/Gas 7. Turn the pork over to the crackling side on the rack and roast in the hot oven for the final 20 minutes to crisp up the crackling. Leave to stand for 10-15 minutes before carving.
5. To serve, cut away the crackling with a sharp knife and break it up into pieces then start to carve the meat. It should be very tender and succulent.

Yummy

You need a team worthy of putting into the new stadium though surely. Sitting in luxury and getting crap results the novelty will soon wear off. I wish you well with your new stadium but the harsh reallity must grined deep down and the Falmer thing is just a comfort zone.

Nah, it doesn't matter mate.

If falmer is a Yes, then the euphoria will certainly give us a lift for a while and maybe some of the phantom "investors" will have something concrete to put their money in.

If it is a No, then the club will sink into depression, all the money and goodwill will be nothing, the money we have contributed and spent will have been a total waste of money and time, and the crowds will drift away from Withdean and we will die.

That is the reality and sooner people realise that, the fact that every penny we ever get going to pay off our debts not for team strengthening, the better for everyones blood pressure.

I honestly cannot get excited about the team at the moment, mainly because teh decision is getting closer, the team are plainly not very good and I have a horrible sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. ( although that could be the Alpen settling)

Yes, I think you've slightly missed the point, but that doesn't surprise me. A new stadium with bigger revenues and decent surroundings means we can attract better, more experienced players etc etc etc...

But you knew that really.... ;)

Thanks for that Dave. I have gone from being slightly dispondent at having to go to work this morning, to thoroughly depressed reading some of the whingers on here. It was a bad result, we may struggle to get many more points this season, but being a football supporter is about supporting the team. This group of players have shown time and again that they care about the club, that they want to do well for the Albion.
We got a creditable draw at Derby, we were beaten not that heavily by what is turning out to be a fairly useful Reading, we almost and should have beaten Crewe from what I have read, and should have taken a point from Hull (despite an attrocous 1st half).

Time for some optimism

How could he? He'll only find out when they get a decent stadium of their own.

Sorry but who are you going to attract with experience playing in league 1 or 2 an old has been in the mould of Dennis Wise or someone of his age ? I`m not being harsh i`m being reasonable and honest. I think a blend of good quality youth players with a few of your current crop will need gel and bring you through your current crisis.

Well if that's simple then we will be ok. We already have a decent crop of young players that have come through the youth system. It's getting in the experienced and better players that a Chamionship side should be able to attract that is proving a problem because of our situation. I don't agree that being in League One would stop that either, would limit it more yes, but we have already proved that we are more than good enough for League One.

And we won't be playing in League Two again for a very long time, that is absolutely cast iron certain, those days are well behind us (provided we get Falmer obviously!!).
