How many people is it for ? You're going to have one hell of a challenge finding somewhere this late if it's for more than about a dozen people !

you could try the ashoka in Hove ( curry) The China Garden down the bottom of preston street.

Donatello's or al duemo is excellent, but you may be a bit too late.

Woodingdean gull has organised a dinner at the royal Albion in a couple of weeks for the golf society...one of these is very good.....southern fm also do various do's

Avoid Donatello's. Unless your party appreciate unauthentic, tasteless crap in noisy surroundings with terrible serving staff.

You could try the Chinese in Portslade just down from the station - Oriental Village (?). Eat as much as you like for a set price ( around £12 if memory serves me right ).

Or Sushi Garden in Preston Street is pretty good for groups - you sit around the chef as he cooks - avoid too much Saki (sp?) though ;)

I assume that's a name drop... Guy Butters?
Maybe they put on a special effort when a 'celeb' or local footballing legend is in the house. For the average punter, it's poor, especially when busy.

wasnt dropping a name at all....there was loads of nscers there, most of the top floor was full for Guy.

Brilliant evening.

If you want a really good sociable night out try Genghis Khan's mongloian barbecue in Middle Street - it's great fun. If you want a cheap and cheerful chinese, try the all-you-can-eat Buffet Island in York Place, it is superb. The only draw back is you will need to run the gauntlet of drunks and tramps outside!
