I blame the water companies. The minute they called a hose pipe ban it started raining (either that or it's because the school holidays have started)

I blame the BBC.
Until a couple of months ago, the weather maps had the Atlantic Ocean and isobars and it was possible to get some idea of what the weather was going to be over the next four or five days.
These days, I haven't got a clue - although they keep telling me whether it might be cloudy in Plymouth at 4pm tomorrow.
