Nothing on him tonight...... I,m surprised. There is a thread on everyone else but no Caldy.
Maybe I,ve missed it.

Good going forward. Can't defend.

Close thread.

Cannot defend a 50 yd diagonal ball that is for sure. Was pretty crap at Millwall when he came on and tonight let his man get free on 3 or 4 occasions at the back post. That should never happen on those long balls that Ipswich played.

Not his best game tonight. Was out of position for their goal and almost a carbon copy in second half if it wasn't for Tomas making a really good save. Good persistence though to assist our goal

Totally his fault for the goal. Caught ball ball watching, got caught the wrong side of the attacker and had such a bad starting position that even after the ball travelled the length of the pitch he was still nowhere near their player. Wasn't just the once it happened either.

Decent going forward though.

Thank Gus for Thomasz Kuszczak. He will be the biggest difference for us this year.
And of course. Bruno too!

Perhaps Greer is in charge of starting threads tonight. Again he did not pass to Calderon. v Birmingham he managed to limit himself to two passes to Calderon over the 97 minutes, but he out did himself tonight by not passing to him at all.

That doesn't excuse Caldy's defensive errors, but come one. Why play him if you're not going to use him.

He was frequently in acres of space and yet Greer turn back and passed it to El Abd to Bridge. Bridge is good, but he can't run the game himself, we can't just pass it to him all the time when Bruno is out. Not only is it unfair on Bridge to expect so much from him, but it gives the opponents an easy ride. The don't need to be stretched to cover our right back because he's never going to get it until they come up the left. Pack the midfield to stop us moving from the left to the right in the final third and we are one dimensional and easy t defend against, and that's easier to do when we don't at least a few times use our right back, even if it's calderon, to give our opponents something to think about.
