There's no cable in Eastbourne.

thats very strange the cable box is right opposite our bungalow and the telephone street box is on the opposite corner.

 These are the areas with cable, Brighton was the last city to get it.

Even using the TalkTalk service finder they don't have any fibre in any of Eastbourne. You can only be on copper so moving to Sky will make ziltch difference to your internet service.

But your main complaint in your first post was the internet dropping out. Unless it was the router rather than the copper line you'll have exactly the same problem with Sky.
Virgin customer services is just as frustrating at times. Being connected to India to sort out broadband issues really gets my blood boiling.

strange again I put my postcode and phone number in and and came saying I was already enjoying superfast fibre broadband

try BN23 6DZ

I can also PM my phone number to you as well

Go then as with just the post code I get 'The package you have chosen is not available'

How bizarre - so you do ! Then you have a serious issue that Talk Talk should be fixing.

superfast fibre broadband != cable. they are seperate, literally, cable networks are completely independent. if they offer you a service in an area without physical cable, they will be using the BT fibre/copper links which will be the same regardless of provider. however they can have their own kit in the exchange, so if the service is offered through that, it may help resolve having multiple drop outs.

I'm on Talktalk for TV, phone and broadband, got a YouView box.

Basically for tv, most of the channels come through the ariel, similar to Freeview. Only the On demand stuff, Sky upgrades and films come through the internet.

therein lies the problem
I can put up with the PC dropping out as its back withing a minute or so, but films on the TV stop every time it drops out and is an absolute pain
some one has suggested it might be a faulty router the first two lasted about a month each if this has gone pear shaped it has lasted about 16 months, but I'm sure talktalk will have checked that from India.
