ooh blimey, wasn't expecting all that

Right, first up, just realised I can't spell lone in the context of on-loan. Other than then, when I just did.

That was my first post but only under a new name. I have been away (not prison), old email account had to be deleted (anyone who shares their pc might sympathise) and therefore no NSC passward retrieval.

I am not Nicky Forster, his agent, his mum or even the bloke he buys his paper from in the morning. I've just always liked the guy, his attitude and his work rate. It looked like it was career over last season and I genuinely think it's sad that he's potentially ending his career out of the picture.

Realistically we're very unlikely to go down and there's a snowball in hell we'd go up so is it really that 'dangerous' or stupid to let the bloke end his career playing football at a decent level rather than bench warming or in L2?

I'd forgotten how much fun it was in here.

Oh, and what's the clue that proves I'm his wife? My Mrs won't be happy finding out I've married another bloke.

So, let me get this straight:

You're a Brighton fan in no way affiliated to Nicky Forster, yet you want us loan out one of our best players - and one of just THREE available strikers - to a rival club in our division, for no gain whatsoever, rather than continue to play for us as he done (rather well) all season.

You're either genuinely simple or think we all are...

So, if you're not Forster/Forster's wife/Forster's agent/Fortser's lovechild how do you know about these proposed moves?

btw chesney christ - great signature

Finding it hard to conjure up some sympathy, after all it's not as if "Mr Forster" doesn't have another job.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Fair enough but my main point was about finishing his career playing football, not fading away. If you're right, and I don't doubt it, then playing football must be more important to him than the money.

We (Brighton) are not stopping him from playing football, are we? Poyet (despite not being Capello or Mourinho - f***ing Bloom picking the cheap option) is entitled to hold back. He has stated he wants a small(ish) squad to work with. What he needs to consider is whether a 36+ striker on a two year deal (no doubt on high wages) is going to be as useful as various potential targets that he is considering purchasing?

Blimey. It is not curtain down on the stage - I am sure Forster will be able to find alternative work if he so wishes. I would rather back the manager than just one player. His treatment is not disgraceful. There are hundreds of footballers that face the same situation each season and most of them have not commanded a decent wage through out a 20 year career.

If they can't hack that then they are quite probably in the wrong job or better yet, face problems posed to many thousands of people through out the whole country.

Forster is one of my favourite players. He has been great for us, but I don't think we should let that get in the way of sense. By all means, hark on about mistakes made IF he leaves, IF we don't offer him another contract that he sees fit or IF we don't replace him with a suitable player.

Been away for a bit sorry for going over old ground but it may well be that Mr Forster is soon to be on his way.

He's not being picked and not being allowed to go on lone to anyone Albion consider a threat/rival (pretty much everyone in L1 then). He's been 'allowed' to talk to 2 northern clubs and Colchester.

Roughly 100 games/50 goals. Works his bloody backside off every week. Well liked by all. Experienced. Injury free this year. Top scorer. A toch of real class. Wants to stay. Doing his coaching badges.

He's not a 22 year old with no ties. He's 36, has 3 kids and unless the wage stuctures gone out the window, a mortgage too. What bloomin' use are clubs in Yorkshire?

Seriously, the way he's being treated as a disgrace. Doesn't bode well for the future. Gus Poyet is many things but Capello/Morinho he is not. Surely he needs to respect what this bloke has done in his time here. Play him or let him go wherever he can. Be sad to see a class act leave like this.

Colchester on Monday night. They might have a new striker come Tuesday.

Thanks, I can't help but feel it will make TCB look more and more stupid over the next few years....

It was making him look stupid from the moment he typed it - some of us believed and are currently being proved correct. Keep up the good work
