Yep, the standard recommendation for anyone just getting into hi-fi separates with a turntable.

I'm more of a Rega fan, having had a Planar 3 for many years. Also has the plus of being British if you like that where it makes sense. But I'd arrange a trip to Audio T to listen to rival Rega and Project decks - with an amp/speaker combo similar to yours if possible - and decide for yourself. This is the entry level Rega

You may also need a separate phono stage if your amp doesn't have one built in, as many don't these days. This is a pre-amp to bring the output up to standard line-in level.

Agree. I watched the above clip and Gerald The Gorilla "wild? I was bloody livid" and Constable Savage pop up afterwards. They're great as well.
