Does anyone know if getting a bus from the bottom of Trafalgar street is a good option on match days and if so what number are they, how frequent do they go and from where.

Many thanks.

You can get a 25 from there. About every 10-15 minutes at worst. By the time they get to Lewes road they are absolutely rammed on match days if within a couple of hours of kick off and you often can't get on, but not sure exactly where they fill up.

The 23 comes down elm grove onto lewes road and up to the universities if you don't mind a little walk. Route 23 Info
The 25 goes by the far side of st peter's church (far side from trafalgar street) Route 25 Info
The 28 and 29 stops in the university Route 28 Info, Route 29 Info (These are limited stop buses, so won't stop at every bus stop like the 23, 25, 24 or 49)

The 24 goes up coldean lane, if you get off at the bottom it's about 10-15 minute walk to the stadium Route 24 Info
The 49 stops at the far end of moulsecoomb way, not too far from lucraft if you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk to the stadium Route 49 Info

Which could involve waiting in a queue for 45 minutes , the best option is to catch a 25 from St Peters (the last 2 of the bendi-buses sent away for conversion and re-livery will be in service soon)

Depends what time it is, not a queue all the time, just leave a bit earlier!!

The 28/29 is a good option because it is limited stop along Lewes Road so it does fly by a lot of stops. But you're better off getting off at the bottom of Coldean Lane and walking from there most of the time, but it attempts to get up the slip road to the Amex and that can be a nightmare. The 23/25 might stop everywhere, but as others have said, it turns off the main road so it is quicker. Personally, I would just get the 25 and prepare to be cosied up to by others.

I get these buses at lewes Road garage after 1.00 and have no trouble getting on. If one looks too full then another will be along in a min.

There may also be a Stanmer Park service on Saturdays,, 78 or 79, I think.
