Some of us are both Bury and Brighton fans. Spent many a wet Saturday at Gigg Lane before I moved to Sussex

This is why the Albion as a Phoenix Club would’ve been so problematic. Gigg Lane is a decent 12500 stadium. We would have had nothing/Withdean! Hereford really was a seismic/existential sliding doors moment.

In the 70s, the home and away fans still used to change ends at Gigg at half time. My brother had his jaw broken changing ends against PNE. Happy days

Yes, they got a lot of donations from Brighton fans. I certainly don't think Bury look on Brighton with disdain at all

Maybe you should go up to see if your names are still there . . . one heck of a long trek though just for that reason.
