Beaten to it, one of my favourite songs. A massively talented, influential and modest songwriter, his work will live on

One of the final memories I've got of my nan is sitting with her to watch a Burt Bacharach DVD. She was in the final weeks of her life and that was what she wanted to do so that's what we did.

RIP Burt.

Bacharach's hits also included Walk On By and Do You Know The Way To San Jose. The musician wrote for stars including Dionne Warwick, Cilla Black, Tom Jones and Dusty Springfield.

That’s a great mix @Jam The Man, I really like it - it’s got a late 70s dance vibe to me - I loved Elvis’s R&B version but like the original recording artist, Chuck Jackson’s version too - testimony to the calibre of songwriter/composer
