Why are you going to Burma?

Is this for a holiday? Let us know how it went for you.

I'd like to go there now that it's opening up to tourism.

Haven't been yet but plan to go within the next year- it's not too far from me. Everyone I've spoken to that's been though says it was amazing and different to anywhere else they've been.

When I go, I'm planning on going to Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan and Inle Lake. Would like to get to the coast too but journey times are very lengthy (unless you fly everywhere).

Try to avoid government run businesses while you're there to avoid funding the regime. Credit cards, debit cards and travellers cheques are useless there so make sure you take plenty of cash! (Euro or dollars).

Used to stand for Be Undressed and Ready My Angel. Twas code on the back of envelopes. Mainly for girls, only older posters will have a clue with what I am on about. :hilton:
