As I said on another thread. Why have a go at the lad with out knowing the facts. Is he a hoolie? Is he guilty ?
If he supports Chelsea or the Albion it makes no difference he supports England and might have just been an innocent by stander no one knows.Innocent until PROVED guilty.
Give the lad a break his holiday has been cut short.

He's already been proven guilty.

If he didn't want to be involved he wouldn't have been in the bloody middle of it would he?
There were no opposition fans involved in this incident - just the police, and by all accounts, the fans started it.

Its not rocket science - if you want to get out of the trouuble, you walk (or run if you have to) the other way.
Not pick up a chair and hurl it at some one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen the videos, the police gave the fans plenty of opportunity to move on.

They're bloody thugs and morons, and don't deserve to allowed to watch football anywhere in the world.
If his life is ruined as a result, then its his own fault!

As far as the Argus is concerned, they can print whatever they like. if it helps keep idiots like this out of football grounds, then its a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

Nothing wrong with what the Argus has done, they're fully entitled to print which street he lives in because, whether we agree with it or not, he is a convicted criminal and one of the purposes of the justice system is to 'name and shame' those who have done wrong. I'm not offering any comment on whether he was stitched up or not because I wasn't there so it wouldn't be fair.

As far as the house is concerned, I would imagine they got the copy off PA, who would have included the value to beef up the story ie. this guy lives in a nice, middle-class home and isn't some scummer from an estate, or at least that's the way they see it and for further evidence of that I refer you to yesterday's Daily Mail.

Newbury, Berkshire.
I've decided to make no further comment on this, because I might be deported from NSC and face a 5 year ban from posting on any internet message board !

Anyway it's yesterdays news now, time to move on.

Ok here is a fact, sometimes you cannot get away from the trouble. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, sometimes you get connered.

Not sure what right you have to take the high and mighty on this, but what worries me about the whole thing is there were a number of people involved in the incidents, yet the OB have within 2 days pinpointed these 7. Now they may well be guilty, but it does have a feel that the OB grabbed who they could and charged them. The sentances look like it is sending a message out to the rest, we will not just deport you.

Now as you seen to have first hand knowledge over these incidents, well you must with the line you are taking, I am sure you can enlighten us all.

If not keep your Daily Mailesk opinions to yourself.

Firstly i'd fully acknowledge that we may not know the whole facts.

Having said that i wonder whether they'd be so many apologists for his alleged behaviour in this thread if it was not suspected that he's a Brighton fan. And please don't make me puke with statements like "he's a quiet lad" etc. "Quiet lads" do not watch England abroad knowing that there is always the potential to get caught up in trouble whether instigated by fans or over zealous foreign coppers.

I might have got this wrong, so are you saying that everyone that travels with England are lads up for a bit of bother and generally acting like twats?

Arthur,

Agreed the penalty didnt appear to fit the crime, in relation to other much more serious (not wishing to triviualise his apparent convicyed one) but things need to be in perspective also totally agreed how cowardly of the paper to publish personal details, he must have a very good case for libel etc and compensation against the press i wouldve thought if he suffers knock on effects ie loss of earnings

OMG You have indeed got that wrong. Please read what i said a bit more carefully.

There are plenty of England fans who are a credit to us and its only a minority that cause the problems.

And you are qualified to make sweeping statements like that because............

And Arthur, if he *did* throw a chair, well that IS thuggery I'm afraid.

Quite agree. I was simply pointing out that people shouldn't be so quick to judge the guy on the basis of a media report.

Quite frankly with comments like that I feel ashamed that you "claim" to be Brighton.

I can't believe how many self righteous wankers there are on this site. You don't know what went on out there as much as I don't. This poor lad is going to have life ruined because wankers like you.

Why on earth did the Argus need to print:

His address
Who he works for
What he does for a living
His parents names
How much their f***ing house is worth!?!?

I can see him losing his job, his mug has been splashed all over the newspapers and TV. How do you think his family must be feeling? 7 months suspended for supposidly throwing a chair!! f*** OFF.

I'm sure some of you holier than though lots will say he deserves it and he's a disgrace to this country but bollocks, it's way over the top. I think you lot need to ask your self whether you did anything stupid when you were 21?!?!?

Billy's a good lad, only he knows what he did and didn't do out there so NO ONE on here can comment on that. But those that know the lad can tell you that he's a good kid and certainly not worthy of half the shit he's getting off here from supposed fellow fans.

abit OTT but overall well said
