I co-hosted an awards dinner with Jim Bowen once and he was one of the most unpleasant people I've ever met. His 'comedy' routine consisted of a stream of racist jokes that might have been deemed funny in 1959 but certainly not in 1999. He was met in stony silence for the most part and then blamed the audience.

Total wanker.
