Dear Insider,

This is a suggestion I have for buiding atmosphere at Withdean.

Yesterday I went to a game at Nottingham Forest and they had some great ways of building atmosphere.

1. They had the latest chart music but all upbeat so as to build tempo - It was sponsored by HMV, not sure if this is a possibility for the club.

2. Just before the teams came out they Player Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights. Not sure if you know this music but it built sense of forboding for the away team and a culdroun situation. I am sure this would not cost the club much and I think it would help to create atmosphere, of course Sussex by the sea could be played before or after.

3. When goals were scored music was played - this was Chelsea Dagger by THe Fratellis, agan this got everyone jumping around together and helped build noise.

4. Another thing which I'm sure would worth suggesting to Micky and the team. Afte the shaking of hands the team ran out into their half of the pitch and a few players ran towards each stand applauding the fans. A small thing but again created united support behind the team.

Obviously I appreciate these things are easier to do and create atmosphere at a ground like the City Ground but just a couple of them in particular a group of the players running to each the North and South snd would really help create and keep the bond between players and fans which has occasionally been lacking this season.

Thank you

John Baine and Paul Samrah select the music, so I will pass on this suggestion.

It's a great track, real hair-on-the-neck stuff - Preston do it too. Personally, I love it, but I think SBTS is the preferred run-out track of the majority.

Again, the majority prefer not to have music after goals - and personally I don't like this either.

I'll mention that.
