Far better to build the incinerator at Falmer, next to the Albion's stadium, rather than pair the two up at Newhaven.

That said, where we are today is that Prescott has said that he is only interested in whether there is a suitable, affordable, available alternative site to Falmer that is within the conurbation of Brighton and Hove.

It appears that JP has all but said Yes to Falmer but has asked the opponents to propose a better site do we need to help them, by suggesting alternative sites for them. It is ridculous for any supporters of the club to suggest any site other than Falmer simply because we have spent so much money on this aplication and the pot is now dry. Whether you agree or not, as in my case, it is FALMER or nothing.

Have you read all of this thread or are you just having your usual rant?

The suggestion to build a stadium in Newhaven is not hypothetical it was a serious suggestion. What I am saying is we do not need such suggestions not encourage them with rubbish alternative suggestions of sites.

:nono:

I read the letter as a throwaway derogatory comment by a NIMBY not a serious suggestion

Much as I agree with you Yorkie it is not only us supporters who read the papers and as such some 'buffoon' may read something in the letters page of the Argus and think that is a good idea we should pursue it.

Count me in for Saltdean as the sight. I don't know if i want it at the oval though. I used to enjoy riding (and inevitably falling off of) my bike down the golf course side. I nominate the mount. Or just build it on some of the farmland.

Failing that, I wouldn't be too averse if it was built in, ooo,
tokyo. Does that fall within the required remit? Plus i reckon it must be piss easy to get planning permission in tokyo. They build all sorts of ridiculous things in ridiculous places all over the city. Mind you, it'd probably be on the seventh floor above a 7-11, chinese brothel, vodafone shop, and several floors of karaoke. Parking could be a problem too...

Yeah the mount would be decent. We could use the Saltdean FC Bar fro pre-match drinks. :jester:

There's a few things there that would appeal to the male Seagull
supporters.

What are you on about please explain.

You do seem to jump in and state your opinion without really understanding what the thread is really about. I just reported what a person had said in the Argus letters column, and some others posted their light hearted takes on the subject. Nodody was taking it seriously until you blundered in with all guns blazing. There is nothing I can do about the original comment from Mr Page, and no self respecting nimby would be reading this rubbish ,so I thought your post was rather unnecessary. Sorry if I have upset you but you do make a bit of a habit of this.
