This the answer, a straight swap is a very very bad offer, your getting a goalscorer - sure. But then your removing the best winger supplying them !!

Why would S'ton sell Lambert? It's a well known fact Adkins and Lambert don't get along, Adkins may want to bring in a higher calibre striker for a final bid to stay in the Premier League. I don't think it'll happen personally, just trying to thinks of things to answer your question.
